Climate Conversations: Why the UN’s Climate Summit is Important to All of Us

 

In the week leading up to the People’s Climate March and the UN Climate Summit, the Church of the Holy Trinity held an important panel discussion that explored the reasons why we should care about a successful Climate Summit, for our economy, our community and the generations that will follow us.

Steve Knight, a GreenFaith fellow and a member of 350NYC moderates,

Yvonne O’Neal, of the UN’s CoNGO Committee on Sustainable Development discussions, “What we should expect from the UN’s Climate Summit”………(16:16 to 28:04)

Philip Orton of the Stevens Institute and the NYC Panel on Climate Change discusses, “How will climate change impact NYC and the surrounding region”……..(28:05 to 38:00)

Beth Ackerman of Riverside Church Beloved Earth Community and a GreenFaith fellow discusses, “What the role of faith communities is in organizing for a sustainable future”…(38:02 to 48:58)
